7 June 2022 | It was Bilderberg meeting time again. Behind closed doors, from June 2 to 5, the heads of the CIA and Pfizer, a vice president of Facebook and top people from Microsoft and Google sat together with top representatives of the EU and NATO and journalists. All supposedly as private citizens, so that the participants do not feel bound by any transparency rules of their offices.

Major geopolitical issues are at stake, including Ukraine, Russia and competition with China for world dominance.

Are we really supposed to believe that EU officials will represent the financial, tax and data protection interests of EU citizens vis-a-vis corporations like Pfizer, Facebook and Goldman Sachs with due determination and independence, after they have just been sitting together with them in Washington and have presumably been made to understand how important the U.S. digital, pharmaceutical and financial corporations are for the preservation of the geopolitical dominance of the value-oriented West?

Of course, the heads of the CIA and NATO must be able to discuss things in secret with EU representatives. But should Facebook, Pfizer, Goldman Sachs, BP and Palantir really be there at the same time? There is no theory of democracy that justifies such a format.

Because participants kept getting into trouble when it was revealed that they had participated in Bilderberg meetings, this list has been proactively published for several years. So you can see who is there.

They included CIA Director William Burns, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, as well as Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner and Jörg Kukies, State Secretary in the Federal German Chancellery and former Goldman Sachs manager.

Silicon Valley was represented by Yann LeCun, vice-president in charge of AI at Facebook; Alex Karp, the head of Palantir; Eric Schmidt, the former head of Google and the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence; and libertarian investor Peter Thiel and Kevin Scott, Microsoft’s chief technology officer.

From the EU, almost all the top representatives were there: Council President Charles Michel, Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders, EU Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas, and Paschal Donohoe, president of the Eurogroup. José Barroso, an ex-Commission President, was also there. He is currently Chairman of Golman Sachs International. Other major financial groups were also worthily represented.

The boss of Springer, Germany’s most important publishing house was not the only member of the press; the Financial Times, Economist, The Atlantic and other media of more regional importance were also present in Washington. They do not write about the meeting, they are not allowed to. Just as other media do not write about it either, and if they do, then usually by declaring „conspiracy theories“ surrounding the Bilderbergers to be misguided.

„Journalism“ live from Bilderberg

Anne Appelbaum of The Atlantic , who was on the list of attendees, tweete on Saturday 4. June, apparently live from Bilderberg, her protest against French president Macron, who had said that he did not want to humilitate Russian president Putin. She wrote that until Putin loses – and realizes that he has lost – the war will not end. it’s important to know that at the Bilderbergers, the convenient Chatham House rule applies. You’re allowed to write anything, but you’re not allowed to say who you got it from. So we don’t know whether Appelbaum is giving the view of the CIA chief or the NATO chief here. The tweet was accompanied by a link to one of her articles entitled: „The War Won’t End Until Putin Loses – Offering the Russian president a face-saving compromise will only enable future aggression.“
